2009 Wrap up

Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

Happy New Year!

Is Tiger Woods not coming out hurting or helping him?

One month and 3 days. Elin is moving about, but no Tiger. I bet wherever he is  - he is pale. A nosy number crazy fool conducted a study to find out exactly how much money this scandal, if that is what this could be called, has lost his sponsors. The study claimed $5-12 Billion. Yeah right. If he lost all of his endorsements and had to pay off the others to keep quiet - he's still probably a billionaire, so who cares?

I think he can afford whatever length sabatical he wishes. I figure when he comes out it's be forced. Tiger doesn't care to speak so nothing will be said, in literal form. But he'll be touched. Pissed mostly for being found out a sex addict. It was embarrasing at 1 or two - the actual figure of 13 slores is pure comedy.

If I were Elin, I would be hurt - but she doesn't lose any respect points from me. When she found out she had him scared for dear life as heard in his phone message to Jaimee Grubbs. Then when she found out about everything she not only had him burning rubber in the middle of the night to get away - she busts his window with  - get this - a golf club. Genius. I wonder if it was a 9 iron? If she stays with him fine, if she leaves - fine too. Either way, I'm sure she'll remain alright.

I'd like to see Tiger though. Not for PR reasons - just my own curiosity.

Spoiled Mouthy Kids

Teddy Riley scrapped with his daughters the other night, hurt some feelings, kick folks out, left some bruises. Sounded like the police needed to stand by while someone got their shit and kick rocks. Unfolds that The daughter, Taja Rile - age 18, claims that Teddy Riley is hooked up with a gold digger, that he doesn't have many fans, that he takes pills to survive, and ultimately that God would get him back from handing her an ol' fashioned ass whooping.

This isn't a sensitive topic for me. Kids, no matter the age, have to be respectful to their parents. Some parents feel that rule gives them room to test boundaries and be abusive, neglectful, and disrespectful while still benefiting from your child's respect. In most cases where disrespect is present - everyone is disrespecting everyone.

The root for me is the separation from young life. You can be a vivacious adult, enjoying, traveling, experiencing, whatev - all while being a parent that you child can view as a good role model. If you do drugs - expect your child to have a similar standard. Children are great observers - they see and understand everything. When they interpret something the parent has don as wrong - eventually the parent will hear about it. So Teddy had it coming. His daughters got a beat down and walking papers for speaking what they had seen: Tricking money on women, drugs, abuse, acting stupid.

But what a nasty platform for airing folks out nowadays. Facebook, Twitter, blogs, texts.

While I'm down for disciplining a child - grown folks need to support themselves - and these were not kids. The younger daughter is speaking out, but what is the older daughter saying? That's the story.

Hopefully this can be fixed with a little prayer, some counseling, perhaps a tad of anger management.

MVPuppets: Dunking On Reindeer

I don't care that Christmas is over.

Merry Christmas Blitz............

Pursuit of Happiness

Obama is tired.
He says this year has been an exhausting one. Health Care Bill stuck on Capitol Hill, an unpopular move to bailout the banks and automobile dealers, the Nobel Peace Prize, while still grieving his mother. I don't feel bad for him. He seems strong enough - and I have confidence that his descisions are well thought out. I even understand the recent deployment of 30k troops, I was just a little thrown of by the Muslim soldier that ruined what would have been a moment of closure for the Iraq war.

I see the weight loss, the wrinkles - but you still look good to me. I support you still. I haven't seen your gift to black people yet, but I'll wait. This pursuit is a tricky one, one that comes in phases - and we are on but the first. See you in the fourth and we'll celebrate......

Tell me what you know about dreamin’ dreamin’
you don't really know about nothin’ nothin’
tell me what you know about them night terrors every night
5 am, cold sweats, wakin’ up to the skies
tell me what you know about dreams, dreams
tell me what you know about night terrors, nothin’
you don't really care about the trials of tomorrow
rather lay awake in the bed full of sorrow

-Kid Cudi

Obama has called for a review of Airport screenings as well. The report says that the watch list needs to be rethought. I'm glad that he has made a comment regarding this issue, but why does a bomb have to fail in an airplane with 270 passengers - to create concern? Too many are gunning for us - we need to keep our eyes open and our wit sharp.

Failed bombing on Flight helps to implement naked X-Ray machines

On Christmas Day Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab boarded Delta Northwest plane 253 in Nigeria. The plane made a stop in Amsterdam to take on more passengers on it's way to Detroit. A young black man, 23 years old, had spent some time in Yemen protesting the war in Iraq and in some ways is linked to El Paso Fort Hood gunman Nidal Malik Hasan by way of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki, an American born cleric and radical.

So the trend it seems is that americans against the war in Iraq become trained to carry out bombings on in the US? So not just the world, but Americans too? We're all tired of this war. People everywhere recognize how wrong this war is and hate that Americans don't suffer becuase of it. We've lost servicemen, reporters, some machinery, money, but the people there suffer becuase if it.

I enjoy the circumspect view of situations. So while the there may be impressionable people there tired of the troops parading through the streets, the people here is the US know nothing about the orgin of this fight. Our Army waves a flag on the news, talks about insurgeants, radicals, suicide bombers, terrorists - but we're not at all sure why exactly. We do know one thing though - Oil.

It is all very hidden from us. Though in thought, I reasoned that I wouldn't strap a bomb to my abdomen and detonate it while on a plane or large crown unless I really wanted to bring some attention to a very unfair situation. We don't speak the same language, don't have access to forums in which to discuss, and scared to do so if we could. I would like to know though. I'm literally typing about something I just don't get.

Though in the case of Umar - this becomes so human. A young religeous black man changed by something he'd heard in Yemen or online that made him serious about killing.

They say that He may have been caught had he gone through the newest x-ray machine that basically strips you naked so that anything on your person can be identified. Objects on the inside of the body cannot be seen. This machine can see in detail your entire body, the contour, dimples, endowments or lack thereof, etc. I say no. I only want my husband getting that awsome sight, lol. the real problem is that the US is abusing someone somewhere. They are pissed and retaliating. Not my problem - it is the US's. I would like to hold a vote:
Who would like for the US to get their stuff together?
I would.

That is the promotional video for the machine, Did you see the old man not go through in the wheelchair? Did you see the man looking at everybody in another closed room? Did you see the little girl go through?

Hell no.

Somali Pirates Shmirates

I pieced this together from two different sources, becuase I read the bottom piece a while back after hearing the first round of pirate stories, and thought back to it when this pirate was reported to be a fisherman. There are plenty wealthy people in Somalia, they keep the poorest starving. Since the last president resigned things looked like they might get better, though in a year not much improvement can be seen. enjoy.
The pirate saga comes to New York: A federal judge has ruled that alleged teen pirate Abduwali Abdukhadir Muse is old enough to stand trial as an adult in a New York court, where he’s facing charges of piracy and hostage-taking. Muse’s father, testifying by phone from Somalia, said his son is 16 years old, but he became confused under further questioning. Muse, who was photographed Monday night smiling as he arrived in the city, has since admitted he’s 18. The teenager, injured during the attempted hijacking of the U.S.-flagged Maersk Alabama and taken aboard the Bainbridge, the Navy ship sent to rescue the U.S. sailors, was aboard the Bainbridge when Navy snipers killed his three accomplices, who held Captain Richard Phillips hostage in a lifeboat. Muse’s lawyers say he’s an innocent country fisherman who was forced into piracy and had never seen a camera before yesterday.
Who imagined that in 2009, the world's governments would be declaring a new War on Pirates? As you read this, the British Royal Navy – backed by the ships of more than two dozen nations, from the US to China – is sailing into Somalian waters to take on men we still picture as parrot-on-the-shoulder pantomime villains. They will soon be fighting Somalian ships and even chasing the pirates onto land, into one of the most broken countries on earth. But behind the arrr-me-hearties oddness of this tale, there is an untold scandal. The people our governments are labelling as "one of the great menaces of our times" have an extraordinary story to tell – and some justice on their side.

Pirates have never been quite who we think they are. In the "golden age of piracy" – from 1650 to 1730 – the idea of the pirate as the senseless, savage Bluebeard that lingers today was created by the British government in a great propaganda heave. Many ordinary people believed it was false: pirates were often saved from the gallows by supportive crowds. Why? What did they see that we can't? In his book Villains Of All Nations, the historian Marcus Rediker pores through the evidence.

If you became a merchant or navy sailor then – plucked from the docks of London's East End, young and hungry – you ended up in a floating wooden Hell. You worked all hours on a cramped, half-starved ship, and if you slacked off, the all-powerful captain would whip you with the Cat O' Nine Tails. If you slacked often, you could be thrown overboard. And at the end of months or years of this, you were often cheated of your wages.

Pirates were the first people to rebel against this world. They mutinied – and created a different way of working on the seas. Once they had a ship, the pirates elected their captains, and made all their decisions collectively, without torture. They shared their bounty out in what Rediker calls "one of the most egalitarian plans for the disposition of resources to be found anywhere in the eighteenth century".

They even took in escaped African slaves and lived with them as equals. The pirates showed "quite clearly – and subversively – that ships did not have to be run in the brutal and oppressive ways of the merchant service and the Royal Navy." This is why they were romantic heroes, despite being unproductive thieves.

The words of one pirate from that lost age, a young British man called William Scott, should echo into this new age of piracy. Just before he was hanged in Charleston, South Carolina, he said: "What I did was to keep me from perishing. I was forced to go a-pirateing to live." In 1991, the government of Somalia collapsed. Its nine million people have been teetering on starvation ever since – and the ugliest forces in the Western world have seen this as a great opportunity to steal the country's food supply and dump our nuclear waste in their seas.

Yes: nuclear waste. As soon as the government was gone, mysterious European ships started appearing off the coast of Somalia, dumping vast barrels into the ocean. The coastal population began to sicken. At first they suffered strange rashes, nausea and malformed babies. Then, after the 2005 tsunami, hundreds of the dumped and leaking barrels washed up on shore. People began to suffer from radiation sickness, and more than 300 died.

Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah, the UN envoy to Somalia, tells me: "Somebody is dumping nuclear material here. There is also lead, and heavy metals such as cadmium and mercury – you name it." Much of it can be traced back to European hospitals and factories, who seem to be passing it on to the Italian mafia to "dispose" of cheaply. When I asked Mr Ould-Abdallah what European governments were doing about it, he said with a sigh: "Nothing. There has been no clean-up, no compensation, and no prevention."

At the same time, other European ships have been looting Somalia's seas of their greatest resource: seafood. We have destroyed our own fish stocks by overexploitation – and now we have moved on to theirs. More than $300m-worth of tuna, shrimp, and lobster are being stolen every year by illegal trawlers. The local fishermen are now starving. Mohammed Hussein, a fisherman in the town of Marka 100km south of Mogadishu, told Reuters: "If nothing is done, there soon won't be much fish left in our coastal waters."

This is the context in which the "pirates" have emerged. Somalian fishermen took speedboats to try to dissuade the dumpers and trawlers, or at least levy a "tax" on them. They call themselves the Volunteer Coastguard of Somalia – and ordinary Somalis agree. The independent Somalian news site WardheerNews found 70 per cent "strongly supported the piracy as a form of national defence".

No, this doesn't make hostage-taking justifiable, and yes, some are clearly just gangsters – especially those who have held up World Food Programme supplies. But in a telephone interview, one of the pirate leaders, Sugule Ali: "We don't consider ourselves sea bandits. We consider sea bandits [to be] those who illegally fish and dump in our seas." William Scott would understand.

Did we expect starving Somalians to stand passively on their beaches, paddling in our toxic waste, and watch us snatch their fish to eat in restaurants in London and Paris and Rome? We won't act on those crimes – the only sane solution to this problem – but when some of the fishermen responded by disrupting the transit-corridor for 20 per cent of the world's oil supply, we swiftly send in the gunboats.

The story of the 2009 war on piracy was best summarised by another pirate, who lived and died in the fourth century BC. He was captured and brought to Alexander the Great, who demanded to know "what he meant by keeping possession of the sea." The pirate smiled, and responded: "What you mean by seizing the whole earth; but because I do it with a petty ship, I am called a robber, while you, who do it with a great fleet, are called emperor." Once again, our great imperial fleets sail – but who is the robber? source

New Music - Tweet

Soul songbird Tweet has been working on her delayed third studio album, Love, Tweet for some time now. It’ll be her latest release since 2005’s It’s Me Again.

Here’s a taste of some new material, with the track “Love Again,” produced by Charlie Bereal and Craig Brockman. The album is now slated for a mid-2010 release, and will be lead by the Timbaland and Missy Elliott -assisted first single, “Procrastination.” No word on when the single will drop.

Video Premiere: Michael Jackson - This Is It

Official video for MJ's single "This Is It" extracted from the 2 disc compilation of the same name in stores now !!!!!

Swipe? Punch? Bat? Paw? Slap?

Mary J. Blige hits her husband Kendu during her album release party, some say for flirting. The hit was nothing, more of a push. There were some sour feelings though, could tell that. Kendu's Daughter Briana saw nothing as well, but had some convincing words for him to contact her a while back, so I won't play the fool on this one. Kendu should be recognized for reviving Mary's career but not much more. She looked great laying that pimp hand down, lol!

Thank you Jesus for the sight to see and understand life. If left to my own devices I would be a mess. You are the center of my joy. Thank you Father. Had you not come, were you not crucified, if we were left to darkness......Thank you Father.

Ex-President Carter asks American Jews for Forgiveness

Former President Carter blames media's 'pro-Israel bias' on AIPAC and 'Christians like me'

In a letter addressed to Jewish citizens of America, former President Jimmy Carter explains the media's "pro-Israel bias" partly on a powerful lobbying organization which faces no "significant countervailing voices," but primarily puts the blame on "Christians like me."

Carter's recently published book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, has caused a "stir," which was "partly intentional," the former president told Newsweek.

"One of the purposes of the book was to provoke discussion, which is very rarely heard in this country, and to open up some possibility that we could rejuvenate or restart the peace talks in Israel that have been absent for six years—so that was the purpose of the book," Carter told Newsweek's Eleanor Clift.

Carter also told the magazine that the "effectiveness" and "powerful influence" of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has resulted in more "inhibited" debates in the United States than nearly anywhere else.

"In this country, any sort of debate back and forth, any sort of incisive editorial comment in the major newspapers, is almost completely absent," Carter said.

"And any member of Congress who's looking to be re-elected couldn't possibly say that they would take a balanced position between Israel and the Palestinians, or that they would insist on Israel withdrawing to international borders, or that they would dedicate themselves to protect human rights of Palestinians—it's very likely that they would not be re-elected," Carter added.

In the letter addressed to American Jews, Carter also includes Christians like himself for limiting the debate.

"I made it clear that I have never claimed that American Jews control the news media, but reiterated that the overwhelming bias for Israel comes from among Christians like me who have been taught since childhood to honor and protect God's chosen people from among whom came our own savior, Jesus Christ," Carter writes.

"An additional factor, especially in the political arena, is the powerful influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which is exercising its legitimate goal of explaining the current policies of Israel's government and arousing maximum support in our country," Carter continues.
"There are no significant countervailing voices," Carter regrets.

Full text of Carter's letter:
A letter to Jewish citizens of America
During my recent book tour I signed more than 100,000 books and was interviewed on 100 news media outlets.* The high point for me was a meeting with leaders of the Board of Rabbis of Greater Phoenix, who announced before my arrival that they would demonstrate against my book. When they invited me to meet with them, I accepted immediately. The six rabbis (three men and three women) and I were the only ones present except for a camera crew under the direction of Jonathan Demme, who was making a documentary about me and the work of The Carter Center. Demme reported that there was an equally large group of Jewish citizens demonstrating in support of the book and its call for a path to peace.

We first discussed the peace treaty I negotiated between Israel and Egypt in 1979, and the Holocaust Commission I announced on Israel's 30th birthday. Five of them had read my book completely and one partially, and I answered their questions about the text and title of PALESTINE PEACE NOT APARTHEID. I emphasized, as I had throughout the tour, that the book was about conditions and events in the Palestinian territories and not in Israel, where a democracy exists with all the freedoms we enjoy in our country and Israeli Jews and Arabs are legally guaranteed the same rights as citizens.

We discussed the word "apartheid," which I defined as the forced segregation of two peoples living in the same land, with one of them dominating and persecuting the other. I made clear in the book's text and in my response to the rabbis that the system of apartheid in Palestine is not based on racism but the desire of a minority of Israelis for Palestinian land and the resulting suppression of protests that involve violence. Bishop Tutu, Nelson Mandela, and prominent Israelis, including former attorney general Ben Yair, who served under both Labor and Likud prime ministers, have used and explained the appellation in harsher terms than I, pointing out that this cruel oppression is contrary to the tenets of the Jewish faith and the basic principles of the nation of Israel.
Having traveled throughout the Holy Land during the past 33 years, especially within the occupied areas, I was qualified to describe the situation from my own personal observations. In addition, The Carter Center has monitored the Palestinian elections of 1996, 2005, and 2006, which required a thorough and intimate involvement with Palestinian citizens, candidates, public officials, and also the top political leaders of Israel who controlled checkpoints throughout the West Bank and Gaza and all facets of the elections in East Jerusalem.

I made it clear that I have never claimed that American Jews control the news media, but reiterated that the overwhelming bias for Israel comes from among Christians like me who have been taught since childhood to honor and protect God's chosen people from among whom came our own savior, Jesus Christ. An additional factor, especially in the political arena, is the powerful influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which is exercising its legitimate goal of explaining the current policies of Israel's government and arousing maximum support in our country. There are no significant countervailing voices.

I am familiar with the extreme acts of violence that have been perpetrated against innocent civilians, and understand the fear among many Israelis that threats against their safety and even their existence as a nation still exist. I reiterated my strong condemnation of any such acts of terrorism.

When asked my proposals for peace in the Middle East, I summarized by calling for Hamas members and all other Palestinians to renounce violence and adopt the same commitment made by the Arab nations in 2002: the full recognition of Israel's right to exist in peace within its legally recognized 1967 borders (to be modified by mutual agreement by land swaps). This would comply with U.N. Resolutions, the official policy of the United States, commitments made at Camp David in 1978 and in Oslo in 1993, and the premises of the International Quartet's "Roadmap for Peace." An immediate step would be the resumption of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, now absent for six years. President Mahmoud Abbas is the official spokesman for the Palestinians, as head of the Palestinian National Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization, and has repeatedly called for peace talks. I asked the rabbis to join in an effort to induce the Israeli government to comply with this proposal.
In addition, I pointed out that the Palestinian people were being deprived of the necessities of life by economic restrictions imposed on them by Israel and the United States because 42% had voted for Hamas candidates in the most recent election. Teachers, nurses, policemen, firemen, and other employees are not being paid, and the U.N. has reported that food supplies in Gaza are equivalent to those among the poorest families in sub-Sahara Africa with half the families surviving on one meal a day. My other request was that American Jewish citizens help to alleviate their plight.
The chairman of the group, Rabbi Andrew Straus, then suggested that I make clear to all American Jews that my use of "apartheid" does not apply to circumstances within Israel, that I acknowledge the deep concern of Israelis about the threat of terrorism and other acts of violence from some Palestinians, and that the majority of Israelis sincerely want a peaceful existence with their neighbors. The purpose of this letter is to reiterate these points.
We then held hands in a circle while one of the rabbis prayed, I autographed copies of my book as requested, and Chaplain (Colonel) Rabbi Bonnie Koppell gave me a prayer book.
I have spent a great deal of my adult life trying to bring peace to Israel, and my own prayer is that all of us who want to see Israelis enjoy permanent peace with their neighbors join in this common effort.
Sincerely,
Jimmy Carter

The Secret life of Tiger Woods

In the wee hours of last night a caught the last portion of TLC's ' The Secret Life of Tiger Woods'.
All I could say is WOW. There are more than a dozen women coming out on video seriously outting Tiger like he's a criminal. The whole situation is so human to me that the only entertaining portion of this story are the actual women and stories they tell.

All trashy women. Let's just say that. Not one classy high fashion woman that Tiger should be with in the lot. They are all PO'ed that he didn't trick his money and allow himself to be used like that was some sort of prerequisite that all celebs must meet to be in your company. If nothing else is apparent - what is apparent is that he doesn't know how to choose women or how to treat them.

All of the whores have a common denominator, waitressing or hotel staff, and each one has a prostitute/ For Sale sign on their forheads. Which, to me is ----- eh, so so. It seems to me they were eager to just get in bed with him based on the possibility that he might give them some money, but none say they got any. No gifts, nothing but transportation to and from the spot where they would get it on. I'm very turned away with the bias towards blonde white women. Something deep just tells me that black men and women should support each other. I guess interracial relationships are okay, I just wonder about the connection and how culture plays a part.

Yeah, a little off subject, but still. Anyway, the women coming forward and revealing everything is just odd to me. I guess that is how you know there was no love there. They didn't care about him at all. at all. I'm not outing my ex's, married or hooked up - whatever. What goes on between myself, my bedroom, and whomever - is private. I'm not sitting on Dateline NBC to tell everyone who'll listen my personal intimate business. Closest friend? Sure. Friends? Maybe. Anyone and everyone? not a chance.

for right now my stance on the Tiger-gate situation is too mild and emotionally lacking to describe. He was wrong for having so many, and he might need to get with Dr. Drew and appear on Celeb Sex Rehab. Elin scored mad points in my book for simply going upside his head and terrifying a man named Tiger. Cute. The women really need to take Hoe'ing 101.

That clacking would've got on my nerves too.....

Milwaukee school teacher cuts the braid of a little girl that had a ton of colored plastic beads at the ends. I know how this went down:
Teacher shows up to school ready to handle her lesson plan - read a little, write a little, do some math problems, go to PE, then lunch, out for recess, color some worksheets, give a test - go home. But In walks little ghetto mama with some new braids clicking and clacking like she's cute. You tell her, "listen little Zamboynique, keep your braids quite - they might distract others." She goes about like the teacher hasn't said shiggity. Clicking clacking, just raking the teachers nerves and entertaining a few bad ass chilen'. The other sensible children, the minority in the class, can't stand it, and quietly make eye contact with the teacher to let her know that the plastic beads are getting on their nerves as well - this gives the now irritated teacher ammunition to either send little Zamboynique-isha to the Principal's Office or scare her into a transient state where the beads may not irritate her for a while.
So, "Pull out your Science books and turn to page 187 (lol), and little Keyshawn - will you read outloud?" "The solar system is made of .....", little Zamboynique-isha-shae comes skipping forward just trying to make the braids clack, "Miss Tyler, can I go to the bathroom?" You give the nod. Suddenly as the clacking disappears the whole class settles down and for about 15 minutes it's quiet. The class has read the chapter and is busy doing a few textbook questions when, wait where the ClickClacker?
You assign a name-taker, and rush down the hallway looking for the sound of sparsely falling marbles, but hear nothing, enter the restroom and there she is - standing in the mirror clacking her beads. You tell her, in a worldy tone, "Look I'm not putting up with that clicking and clacking anymore, you need to tell your mother I said to tie those up and take them out." Little Zamboynique-isha-shae-shawn smacks her lips and looks the teacher up and down, says 'yeah whatever', and strolls past the teacher and back to the classroom. The teacher wanted to rip out those braids, and kick little mama's tail, but no. She comprises herself and goes back to class knowing that she's given strike two.
Now, back in class the little girl swooshes her head around to pick up her bookbag, then again to sit up straight, again to get the braids out of her face, then to the other side. The teacher, underpaid, and over-irritated sees red and grabs a pair of scissors to scare the little girl - but the little girl ain't scurred. Begins to cut one....The little girl begins show saddness and conjure up a few tears - starts saying 'my mama's gonna kisk yo ass'.
The little girls shuts those braids up and the rest of the day was pleasant. That very evening the teacher turns on the news and there she is - the little girl crying and sobbing, acting nothing like the hood terror that she really is - using proper English. The Hood mama trying to get you fired, speaking like she doesn't smell like cigarettes and yestarday - knowing full well you don't put those raggedy beads on little girls until summertime.

She doesn't lose her job though. Teachers - 1, hood kids - 2 many 2 count.

It's Hardly Shocking!

Judge Donald Wayne Jackson admits to trading a dismissal to a pending DWI to a deffendant in Houston. Jackson denied publically that he took her to dinner, but when caught admitting to it - he attacks the investigator by saying the recording was made without his knowledge. So? He changes his story and now admits to his wrongdoing, he responds to being asked why he changed his story:
"If you were married, wouldn’t you tell a different story too?" Jackson said.
Classic, f-ing classic.
I love the way the defense attourney says that it is hardly shocking - thus the title of this post reflects that and the comprehensive dim-wittedness this story is soaked in. Good going.

What Recession?

HPD vice officers infiltrated the site and became members.
"It took about four months to get in there, from beginning to end," Vasquez said.
At the party, HPD undercover officers found enough evidence to charge 12 people with prostitution.
I didn't see much worth anything. I guess mediocre hoes can pull top dollar even during a recession in Houston. They say twelve arrests were made of both men and women for 'prostitution'. But why were the men not arrested? The criminal justice system really peels my nerves. I understand that you must prove a person's crime, but isn't everyone inside the club or the club itself proof enough? I'm sure that the club caters to this type of business - they know best. They should be charged. And to be justified as an infiltration more than 12 arrests should be made, and hookers shouldn't be taped walking off covering thier faces.

BuJu Banton caught with 5 kilos of white girl

Reggae artist BuJu Banton was arrested in Miami last Thursday for trying to move five kilos of cocaine. Surveillance cameras caught Bu and an unidentified man in the middle of the transaction. If convicted he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Troubles face us all, so prayers are with you as well. Good luck with that Bu.

Men.....

You know the media has a way of convicing you what is wrong is right. So persistent is the Media that it comes at you though serious issues and taints your outlook on life. The media has turned this Tiger Woods thing into some news. I don't see it as news. Happened to me recently.

I know Elin is embarresed. Then to have everyone watching you to see if you leave, so that when you don't they just laugh and talk about you. To that I say - Stay. Stay Elin. Everyone knows it's the easiest thing to run and hide - disconnect from what was your peace and comfort to sit around bitter and lonley. Rekindle that happiness and pray for him. If that doesn't work then leave - but try. Some men just don't know how to handle responsibility and power. They parade round like men - but are boys nonetheless. Children. Tiger is hopping on anything warm, not really covering any tracks but rather dealing with the damage should it ever come up. He needs some personal evaluation and inward motivation to do what is right - we all do. So yeah he's wrong - a low down proud fool pretending grown. For more reasons than just the cheating thing - but for the tresspass against your queen. Marry who you want - it's just a trip to the courthouse for some. But be careful. Tiger was heard speaking that she went all ghetto on him. Me personally, I take offense to that.

Hell naw Tiger. It's fine if you don't see color. But I've never seen him do anything for, or be around anything pro-black. I think it's important to be proud of your most basic element i.e. intuitions, race, talents, personal flair, etc. But to completely separate yourself from blacks to the point where you marry a Swedish girl that is just as colorful as the ghetto girls you were running from is pure irony - and hilarious.

Which brings me to my second point of interest: Obama. The troops issue. 30K to deploy for another 18 months. So yeah we knew this war would have to wrap and that it's was based on a lie. But After reading up on the Zionist Movement and about the jews return to thier holy land - I understand why a man who father is Muslim would lead an army against his people, BLOOD PEOPLE. read this. Dam.

I wanna go home too. But where do I go. Is any of this planet for my people. hell no. Not for the jews either. Folks just have a bone to pick. My home is in my soul. And my soul says to me to be thankful for simple blessings like being able to attend school, vote, to cuss when and where i want to, to have enough for my kids to eat, to have grown up with sense, or growing up at all. I find delight in all things happy. and I try to pass that on, not hold onto centuries old grudges, or arguments without weight.

all that to say Do what you have to Barack - we understand each other.

2009 Soul Train Awards

Toni Braxton Feat. Trey Songz - Yesterday
Wow, that was a terrible performance. I couln't understand a word Toni said, and the only good thing was the moment Trey came on - beyond that everything was sour. That kiss was stank - too overdone, no shock value, and void of any passion. You know there is talk that this kiss sparked Toni and Keri's split. Not so sure, any man can see this was nothing.

Keri Hilson - Medley

I love this performance. Vocals were pretty decent. Dancing was aight, but Keri just brings such age with her. Like a grown woman talking about the most childish things. I realize Beyonce set the bar pretty high and that every pop singer is compared to her, but Keri is no Bey - but somehow still pretty good.
There is some missing component though - is it sex appeal? - YESS!

Plus, who can forget sister girl's busted feet.

Charlie Wilson Tribute
I really hate tributes, but I was actually glad once Genuine got off stage. Raheem DeVaughn was pretty good, well at least entertaining. Kandi's voice bothers me though - the shakiness and effort just bother me. I'm trying so hard to like her but - well, I can't. But it was Brian Mcknight that caught my eye. Dude really has some natural talent.
It all got better when Charlie got on stage - no one can pull off Charlie better than the original. Tribut gets a C - I've seen better.

I'm over Awards shows. It's just has-beens free-for-all season. Wake me up when Awards shows are not listed under Reality TV.

Michelle Obama is my homegirl and I don't even know her. She represents for the ladies and while I have done so before - I must give her a little shot out.

Artist of the Day - Laura Facey-Cooper

A 3,320-pound bronze sculpture called Redemption Song unveiled on July 31 in Kingston, Jamaica has become the latest controversy on the island. The statue portrays two former slaves, a male and a female standing in a pool of water with their eyes looking towards the sky. Why the controversy? Both statues are naked as the day they were born and the man who stands about 11 feet tall has a penis that...well...stands tall on its own. Some criticize what they observe as inappropriate European features chiseled in the woman's face.

Emblazoned on the base of the statue are the words of Marcus Garvey put to music by Bob Marley in the song that gave the statue its name "none but ourselves can free our mind." Those who support the statue suggest the controversy over its nakedness is evidence that Jamaicans may not yet be free from the mental slavery that Garvey and Marley discussed. Many of Europe's most famous sculptures are in the nude and are considered works of art.

Does size matter? It appears that the focal point over the debate has become the man's penis, or to be more specific the size of it. Laura Facey-Cooper, the Jamaican sculptor who created the statue says "I did not particularly enlarge that part of the male body to the exclusion of anything else. He has very strong muscles in his torso and buttocks. Both the male and female are very well-endowed in every possible way."

Several Jamaicans are calling for the Patterson administration to remove the statue from the newly named Emancipation Park in which it stands. This would not be the first time a statue has been recalled in Jamaica. During the 1980's sculptor Christopher Gonzales was commissioned to create a statue to honor the late Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley. After it's completion the government, then led by Edward Seaga decided that it was not what they were looking for and commissioned Alvin Mariott to erect another which now stands in front of Jamaica's National Stadium. Gonzales's statue spent much of the 20 years since in the National Gallery before its recent placement at the Island Village in Ocho Rios.

At a recent concert in the Emancipation Park given in honor Jamaica's beloved Miss Lou (Louise Bennett-Coverly) popular Deejay Tony Rebel pleaded to Jamaica's Prime Minister P.J. Patterson "Mister prime minister, take down the naked people and put up a statue of Miss Lou instead." Many of the over 10,000 in attendance cheered in support. In a release by the sculptor, Laura Facey Cooper upon the release of the statue she stated "It is my hope that our Jamaican people will be moved by Redemption Song." source

As for me - I get it. Quite beautiful to me, and not is a sexual way either. If the people of Jamaica would just chill they might get that by being redeemed they are new and can move forward, rather upward. The nakedness speaks to me the whole Adam Eve newness, youthfullness - like strong and eager children. I see the power, and the humility. The size doesn't bother me. Seems realistic enough. Children won't be shocked. They just might ask what's up with that. Just explain and they'll get it. I love it and hope to one day touch the water and become refreshed and reminded of the suffering, struggles and freedoms.

Shaniya Davis

I realize this is a few weeks old now, but I was super traumatized when I saw this story - so much that I couldn't post at all.

This sweet baby was killed. Probably choked or bled to death. I know she suffered. I can't imagine the sick men trying to force themselves into her. I know she cried and begged them to stop - probably screaming for the one she knew would save her - had they known. Then tossed in the bushes.

I just try to place myself into each person's shoes attempting to make sense of any of it. The father's for letting Shaniya go with her mother, Antoinette for allowing her daughter to go with men who want sex or telling her to go. The men - for wanting a little girl, negotiating for her, passing her to a friend.

Crazy, yes, but I'm not surprised. I just don't  understand what in a man's brain allows them to seriously consider or act out sex with a little girl. Do they not understand the damage they cause? Why won't they just leave them alone? Is nothing sacred?

Call me a murderer now. right now. seriously.

I'll gladly embrace the cold pungent walls of a prison before I allowed a man to breath beyond penetrating my little girl. Call me a murderer - I'd slit and slice, probably bath in the blood for vengence. I can't help but go there. When I change and wash my daughter I check. I ask her who wipes her and who helped her change her clothes. I tell her that anyone who touches her there is a bad person and Mommy needs to know about it. She tells me her teacher wipes her - I say that's okay. That she took a bath with her cousins - that's okay. But if she tells me a man or boy put his hand or face down there - it's gonna be some insane - off the wall - Saw - slow and painful torture going down.

Something tells me that the father was a trick and the mother was a prostitute. He just doesn't look like he belongs on her side of town. Which is his business, but i need to know how they ended up with a conceived child in the first place. Which again doesn't matter - but their relationship - one night stand or not - seems questionable. And if he'll conceal once then I smell a rat.

I feel for any parent though who has lost a child in whatever circumstance. And this one - so sad. The pain in his face is real, and I prayed that God comfort those grieving for Shaniya.

But the mother, Antoinette Davis, I'm sure lied to the police. She said she didn't know what happened to her daughter, but the man carrying her in the hotel looked like someone she not only knows, but probably does his dreads. She says her daughter was in the bed at 5:30am, but knew how to unlock the door - could have left by herself.

I don't believe that at all. The look on her mugshot says, 'yeah and what'. She let those guys take her, she sold her, she swapped for something, or she was too high to notice they had left with her. Either way - she needs more than a parenting class.

I think she should get life in prison.

Y R these two Smiling?
Why do they looks like Twins?
The Ying-Yang Twins, at that.
These men are sick and evil.
These men don't deserve life.
They need those smirks knocked off.
They deserve punishment beyond prison.
They will get what's coming to them.

In all I'm totally against children being used, or enduring any pain. I just hate that any two idiots with and egg and sperm can just have a baby. Yeah, I have blame. Blame for each fool in this story. I blame the security at the hotel for not being suspicious when they saw her being carried like that? She was alive and they could have saved her. Passers by could have helped. The mother is to blame, the father deserves his too, The men have and eternity of hell to endure so no matter how long they live here on earth hell is waiting.

This whole thing could have been avoided.
That's why you have to be careful.

Video World Premiere: Toni Braxton - Yesterday (Feat. Trey Songz)

Toni is really showing some age, and I hear she's newly separated. I would bet a little that Trey seduced her, or maybe she seduced him - but there was some seducing going on (maybe no seducing was needed - he's a flirt and she comes off as a cougar).

Anyhow, I can sense a little connection there.

Beyonce - Video Phone

Whew!

Beyonce knows a thing or two about secks appeal. This video is on fire. I love it. Every detail is embellished and I saw no flaw. Lady Gaga held hers against Beyonce. Of course Bey had to keep it simple so homegirl wouldn't feel out of place - but still - kudos.

The toy weaponry was the best part. The M-16, the little 22, the Cross Bow, hell I think I saw some num chucks. I keep saying Bey has done all that can be done, but here she is again surprising me with yet another killer video.

This just gives me another opportunity to post my favorite Video Phone dance cover:

Shaunie is Leaving Shaq AGAIN

Shaunie O'Neal, the wife of Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal, has filed for legal separation. The couple have been married for six years, 11 months.

TMZ has learned Shaunie filed legal papers yesterday in L.A., even though the couple lives in Florida. The petition says although Shaunie is filing for legal separation, she intends to file for divorce. She lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for separation. We're told Shaunie pulled her kids out of school in Florida several days ago and they are with her now in L.A.

Girlfriend I feel you! Always blowing the horn huh? These men better get right or I'm leaving and taking half with me, lol! Only a year ago Shaunie filed for divorce:
Shaquille And Shaunie O’Neal Call Off Divorce

Posted on 15 August 2008 by HG

Shaquille O’Neal and his wife Shaunie have been working on saving their marriage for a while, and now the couple feels comfortable in saying that they’re staying together. Well at least Shaunie O’Neal does.

Ms. O’Neal was being interviewed by the Associated Press about her new video sharing Web site when she spoke on her marriage.

“Neither one of us could probably answer why we were getting one in the first place.”

“Things have been going so great, that someone actually had to remind us that ‘Hey, you do remember those papers are still there.’ Literally, it was days ago. So, we’ve agreed that before we leave Florida in a few days we’ll make sure that that’s gone away.”

Sounds like they’ve worked things out. Or that Shaq thought about the financial hit he was gonna take and let bygones be bygones. Or he thought about the ammo this would give Kobe’s revenge rap and decided to bite the bullet.

Naw really this is sad. A woman can take a lot when her mind is set, so you know Shaq has been working overtime on Shaunie's nerves. My advise to Shaq is to get it right and give the lady what she wants. If it's cheating, then stop. If it's gambling, quit. Drugs, go cold turkey. You get what I'm saying.

Everyone knows:
If Mama isn't happy - No one is happy.

Ponytail - Mya Ft. Nicki Minaj

I'm so happy that Mya is resurfacing. Chick really hasn't reached her potential, but if this single is telling - Mya is a force to reckoned with. I was a little turned off by the the "pull it, pull it" lyric in the hook, but by Nicki's part I was over it.

Check out this track from Mya and Young Money’s first lady, Nicki Minaj. The track comes from Mya’s latest mixtape release, Beauty & the Streets Vol. 1.

Mya feat. Bun B "Show Me Something" Music Video HQ

Mya is currently working on her 6th studio album, due sometime at the top of next year, with a single to drop this fall. The album is to be released on her own independent label, entitled Planet 9.

I swear Mya is channeling Aaliyah - who is gone tooooo soon. Am I the only one missing her?

Say no to the Swine Flu Vaccine

Just delivering several ideas on the Swine Flu Vaccine that I uncovered this weekend. The first is the take from Minister Louis Farrakhan:

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan told an audience in Memphis he believes the H1N1 flu vaccine was developed to kill people, a witness said.

Farrakhan, 76, spoke for nearly three hours Sunday at a gathering to observe the religious group's Holy Day of Atonement, which also marked the 14th anniversary of the Million Man March in Washington, the (Memphis) Commercial Appeal reported, citing a source who attended the speech.

"The Earth can't take 6.5 billion people. We just can't feed that many. So what are you going to do? Kill as many as you can. We have to develop a science that kills them and makes it look as though they died from some disease," Farrakhan said, adding that many wise people won't take the vaccine.

"The black community has become toxic and must cleanse and restore peace from within," Farrakhan said.

Farrakhan told listeners not to become complacent as a result of Barack Obama's election as the United States' first black president, the newspaper said.

"You have to understand that he was voted in to take on the affairs of a nation, not yours and mine. He is the American president, not the black president," he said.

Journalist Files Charges against WHO and UN for Bioterrorism and Intent to Commit Mass Murder

As the anticipated July release date for Baxter's A/H1N1 flu pandemic vaccine approaches, an Austrian investigative journalist is warning the world that the greatest crime in the history of humanity is underway. Jane Burgermeister has recently filed criminal charges with the FBI against the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government and corporate officials concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America. These actions follow her charges filed in April against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology of Austria for producing contaminated bird flu vaccine, alleging this was a deliberate act to cause and profit from a pandemic.

Summary of claims and allegations filed with FBI in Austria on June 10, 2009

In her charges, Burgermeister presents evidence of acts of bioterrorism that is in violation of U.S. law by a group operating within the U.S. under the direction of international bankers who control the Federal Reserve, as well as WHO, UN and NATO. This bioterrorism is for the purpose of carrying out a mass genocide against the U.S. population by use of a genetically engineered flu pandemic virus with the intent of causing death. This group has annexed high government offices in the U.S.
