Divorce

With all the new summertime hook-ups (Christina Millian and The Dream, Keyshia Cole and Bobbie Gibson, Eminem and Sacha Baron Cohen, lol)you wouldn't think there was room for separation and divorce, but coat-tail rider Kelly Rowland and Beyonce are finally on ice, Tameka Foster's husband Usher isn't wearing his ring anymore, and Kelis further outed her husband Nas as a cheater via Twitter. Giving up in a relationship is the hardest thing to do, because you're still in their face. However if you endure disrespect and mistreatment from your spouse and there's no love even after you try without tiring, then go. No one would condemn a person who resolved a personal problem as they see fit. I always pay attention to couples in how they treat one another and under speculation there's love, respect, enjoyment........but people at their core are just not what they portray. Yeah yeah, it's a roller-coaster, up and down, but don't be mean or neglectful. Michelle Obama speaks of her marital problems:
Wolffe writes that Michelle Obama “hated the failed race for Congress in 2000, and their marriage was strained by the time their youngest daughter, Sasha, was born a year later.” “There was little conversation and even less romance,” Wolffe writes. “She was angry at his selfishness and careerism; he thought she was cold and ungrateful.” When Obama ran for the Senate in 2004, his wife still had mixed feelings about her husband’s love of politics, and played no part in the campaign, the book says. By the time Obama decided to run for president, the couple’s two children were older and Michelle Obama was more supportive. “We’re going to be fine,” the book quotes her as saying. “We just have to make sure the girls are fine. We’re strong enough to take anything on and be OK at the end.”
source In the spirit of rectification (lol good word), Akon gives it to us straight in his new single, 'Be with You'(Click to listen or download). He talks about hanging in there despite how you've hurt one another, how people don't know what you go through - but still moving on. I love my husband and we go through too. Honestly I look at my grandparents and see how they made it, 52 years in august, and without doubt I am sure I'm up for the ride, which is full of sharing everything, children, finances, sex, health, cooking, job changes, etc., family problems, struggles. I just pray for strength, grace, vision, and thank God for hope and sense to not give up. Hang in there.
