I have always thought that Regina King was pretty, even though people said she didn't have hips. Well, she doesn't but I don't have long silky hair down my back, so yeah whatever.
I just found some of my favs of my girl, and I hope you enjoy.
Yeah, she's a girl's girl; we all love her. Then again, every black woman loves an average black woman. We feel like "she's talented" and in shape but I mean...she's just average in looks. Women are comfortable applauding and complimenting that averageness in other women. It's similiar to the way black women love Kelly Rowland (when they aren't calling her stupid behind her Knowles loyalty), Jennifer Hudson, and other average looking chicks. Women never say how beautiful a really pretty women is. Well, few women do. I guess women feel like a really beautiful chick doesn't need ANYmore statements of the obvious... but a compliments bestowed upon a homely woman can only uplift her (ala Regina). I've noticed that this is how the average black woman thinks. She thinks it's safe to heap compliments on an average woman.
Don't think for me, I find beauty wherever it is, and recognize the ugly there too. Like she has great eyes, above average, but a mouth like a horse. everyone can't be happy, but I think she's a great well rounded lady, one worth chilling and kicking it with..
